Ladies,
Please help me, I am so upset, my beautiful daughter, 4.0, great attendance, well liked daughter was shunned by the cheerleading ( one white, one black team of best friends ) coaches and not chosen for the cheerleading team. THREE BLACK GIRLS WHERE CHOSEN, NO WHITE GIRLS THIS YEAR. Now honestly ladies, it is not my first pick for a sport for my daughter, my husband and I tried to DISCOURAGE her, but she insisted, and was good , so we let her try out. I should have known, when i went to the "camp" one day,and discovered the head coach acted black and had a black assistant coach and they are best friends, that it would be trouble for my daughter. She could not be more Aryan, blond , blue eyed, just like me. They seemed to dislike us from day one.. I don't know what to do. My daughter is embarrassed,and all of the school is confused. The boys even had bets with my daughter being a shoe in. One of the "chosen" girls has a dad that is the football coach.. The year as begun of course,and tryouts for next year will be at the end of the year. She wants to try again, and I just don't know... Opinions please needed.

Thanks to all my lovely Aryan ladies for having my back, I need your advice girls!

And what does it mean to “act black”? There’s enough major cultures in Africa as is (Egypt, Ethiopia, Mali, Congo, Zimbabwe, etc.); care to narrow it down?

You met them on Day One and judged that thd white woman 'acted black.' And judged her for being friendly eith a coworker.

Of course YOU did not behave in any way like this was a problem, so any ill will must be entirely spontaneous on their part.

Is this in Mississippi or Alabama? What kind of school has two cheerleader teams?

I think she meant there was one black and one white cheerleading coach.

That being said, this seems like a perfect example of white privilege: “how dare they choose three black girls over my beautiful white daughter?” It likely never even occurred to mom that her little snowflake might just not be as good as the girls who were chosen. I hope this isn’t the first time her daughter has been rejected, or she’s in for a huge and painful surprise when she enters the real world.

You’re a bunch of racists. My advice is to do a little soul searching. When you find that you have no soul, go stand in front of an oncoming train. Problem solved.

I doubt your friends are Iranian, Central Asian (The Caucus, Chechnya, all the ‘-stans’) or Greater-Northern Indian (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh).

Finally; If your kid’s acting like Ms. Mighty Whitey, nobody’s going to want her in their team even if she was really good at cheerleading. People have a tendency to not like jerks.

As told Roald Dahl in Matilda, “it's a funny thing about mothers and fathers. Even when their own child is the most disgusting little blister you could ever imagine, they still think that he or she is wonderful.”

Cheerleading is a very physic discipline (indeed, the highest rate of injuries in school sports in the United States isn’t American football but sheerleading!), and you didn’t describe her talents in gymnastics. Maybe the other contenders had better skills? And I’m sure she, consciously or not, acted out her mother’s racist belief.

If you want some advice, here it is: STOP BEING A NAZI!
