So how could Jesus be a Jew?

Insisting that Jesus is a Jew like these modern Jews is like believing that the founding fathers of our own nation were negroes, because most of the current residents of Washington DC, Philadelphia and the rest of our major cities today are Negroes. There may be some White people in Washington, or Baltimore, or Atlanta right now, but neither does that make them negroes. Likewise, Jesus is not a Jew. He is a man of the tribe of Judah, and today's Jews are clearly not of Judah.

Gotta wonder how the messianic prophecies for the Jewish Messiah, listed in the Jewish religion sourcebook could or would have forecast anything BUT a Jew to restore Israel to Israelites, but you do you, meathead.

So how could Jesus be a Jew?

1- Born of a Nazarene Jewess

2- Bris, Bar Mitzvah’d, the works: thus as much a Red Sea Pedestrian as Brian

3- Referred to by his disciples as ‘Rabbi’

4- A certain meal at Passover

5- INRI

How could Jesus have been a Jew? Well, Moose covered a lot of it rather succintly, the whole “his mother was a Jew, his parents were born in Jerusalem, he was a rabbi, the Last Supper was a Passover seder,” but also, non-Jews were not under the jurisdiction of the Sanhedrin. You know, the group of elders who were supposed to have tossed him to Pontius Pilate? Yeah, they can’t do that to gentiles, they only have that kind of authority over other Jews.
