At least Sean Spicer was entertaining to watch. Compared to the later members of Trump’s entourage, he appeared halfway sane and possibly not hopelessly corrupt (very low bar here). His not-always-successful attempts to come up with reasonable-sounding excuses for Trump’s questionable-at-best, criminal-at-worst antics only to be undermined and discredited by Trump himself… that was hilariously sad. I’d have pitied him, if he couldn’t reasonably have known what he was getting into.

The rest of his press secretaries were purely propagandists, when they bothered to hold press conferences at all.

Meanwhile, as of nary 24 hours ago Jen Psaki - who will be in her new job for far longer than the ones who did the same for the past four years (PROTIP: Whither Sean Sphincter... er, I mean Spicer...?!) - is doing fine:
