That’s another thing that makes the notion that the entire world is “faking” the Holocaust on behalf of a Jewish conspiracy ridiculous. The involved countries all have antisemitic histories - which antisemites point to when they want to suggest hating Jews was justified because if “everybody” hated them that much they MUST have done something and throw cold water on when they’re downplaying atrocities saying they couldn’t have hated Jews that much and again when it’s their religion they’re claiming everyone hates that can’t mean they’ve done something to deserve it that means they hate God and everything good instead but I digress - and moreover despite being on the same side in WWII had a history of hating eachother as well which just got worse over the course of the cold war. So lying on behalf of not one, but like 5 damned groups you loathe to uphold a narrative that does not profit you in any way does not make sense as a conspiracy.
Re-imagining Villains
I don’t know if there’s a name for it, but one of my favorite tropes in fiction is when someone who’s the villain either works with the “good guy” for reasons, or maybe he’s not really such a “villain” after all. A good example of that would be Trent from “A Spell for Chameleon”, the first book in the (somehow STILL going) “Xanth” series. In that case, Trent really isn’t evil, he just wants to take over Xanth, because the old king was doing a shitty job of it. The point is, if you’re gonna “re-imagine villains” they have to have some sort of redeeming qualities, and from what I’ve seen so far, none of Tatsuya’s “re-imagined villains” even come close to filling that requirement. They’re not like the Joker in Batman lore, where he said himself, something to the effect of, he’s a pyscho criminal, but he’s an American, so therefore he hates Nazis, lol

For exemple, the very first time I saw Iroh in Avatar, the last Airbender , I immediately thought that it was a damn shame that someone so honourable was working for an evil empire.
