I'm pretty sure MLK's real message wasn't "fuck those damn druggies; who gives a shit if they live or die?"

Maybe I’m not in the right spaces, but conservatives whining about liberals talking about George Floyd seem to greatly outnumber liberals talking about George Floyd.

Also, most conservatives either hate MLK or present him in a severely watered-down form, so that’s not even an effective clobber rhetoric generally.

You assholes love to say you respect MLKjr because you believe that liking a single black person makes you automatically not a racist when someone calls you out on your behavior. But none of you know anything he said other than parts of the “I Have a Dream” speech. He spoke out a lot in favor of the poor, including whites. When he was murdered he was giving a speech to a sanitation workers union. He believed in the version of Christianity that Christ taught, you know, the one where you do stuff for charity and take care of those worse off than you.

You would’ve hated him just like you hate George Floyd.

You probably would have been howling for his blood if you'd been around when he was. He said many mire things than just the "I Have a Dream"-speech.
