Well then it’s been dead for good fifty years now if not more and your whole party just puts on the weekend at repubs each convention. Face it, you little monster, if you were to be straightforward with what you want to the gross of your people, your party would be out of members in around an hour. Get the power in GOP, rename the slogan to “Under my boot, you uppity shit!” and check how your membership will swell, or not…

Most of them - probably all, at this point - would still be for it. Like libertarians, they are fine with horrible consequences for the vast majority because they assume (with zero justification) that they themselves would always be part of the ruling class.

He isn’t wrong: Conservatism aims to conserve the current state of society; it’s just that, in the United States, the Federal state was weaker than in comparable countries, meaning that, starting from FDR’s New Deal, Cponservatism conflated with limited government, with Goldwater being the best exemple.

This, in my opinion, is fundy of the year material. Not because it’s particularly crazy, but because of how mask off honest it is. No pretentions, he is simply stating the kind of things people usually dress up with fancy euphemisms.
