Archaeology is proving the bible is history! I write about it in my book IS ATHEISM DEAD? But here's a short article I wrote for @Newsweek on the subject. Be encouraged!

Me: "Maybe your friend Karl just made the whole thing up."
John: "No way! Item 5 says, 'Hank dictated this list himself.' Besides, item 2 says, 'Use alcohol in moderation,' item 4 says, 'Eat right,' and item 8 says, 'wash your hands after going to the bathroom.' Everyone knows those things are right, so the rest must be true, too."
“Archaeology is proving the bible is history!”
REALLY? Archaeologists found a bush that burns?
The Tree of Knowledge?
An angel with a flaming sword?
Which of the two stories of Judas’ death turned out to be true and how did they find it?
Oh! Oh! Oh! Did cartographers find the place Jesus stood where he could see all the nations of the world? That’d be a hell of a tourist attraction!
The best you can hope for is that the bible has historical settings, which is not miraculous. The Richard Sharpe novels have historical settings, but i don’t expect to find out Sharpe is real.
“I write about it in my book IS ATHEISM DEAD?”
You wrote a whole ‘book’ to say ‘no’? Talk about clickbait.
Many have tried... and failed.
Maybe this deserves #mammon ?
Also, Newsweek is an unreliable source owned by a cult anyway...

But that’s what they insist is happening. We find the stories are set in history, therefore the eyewitness reports of miracles must be accepted as reality, therefore the Constitution is based on Biblical Truths and you must let us write the laws.
If they separate the verifiable facts from the tales of magic and mysticism, what’s the point of PROVING IT TRUE!?!?!
Archaeology is proving the bible is history!
The preservation of Khufu’s Boat was so perfect, it proved to archaeologists - with advice from marine engineers - that it could still float to this day. The only one stopping you from building a replica of Noah’s Ark - as per not only Biblical ‘history’ but descriptions of such - is you, Eric. Then when you’ve built it, demonstrate it’s seaworthiness: just as the largest wooden ship to date, the Rochambeau , did: once. With yours, all it takes for you to prove we Atheists wrong - and we demand to be proved wrong - is to put it out on open water just once .
We’ll see how your replicated marine archaeology proves the Bible is history when it becomes the world’s first ship-cum-submarine thus not only the whole concept that was Scripture’s Noah’s Ark becomes history.
At least the archaeology of the Ermine Street Guard works, with their Roman Legionary outfits being as historically accurate as possible, using as much archaeological evidence they can find: thus theirs is a living museum.
Every second it’s not floating by itself on water, Ken Ham’s ‘Ark’ is a dead one.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
