Freedom means letting people do as they wish (ending when they start to impose on the freedom of others). Sodomite marriage is not an issue of freedom, except in Leftist propaganda. You don't need the government involved in our life, or bedroom, to be free. In fact, freedom is sort of the opposite of that. Government-recognized sodomite marriage is nothing but a foundation to take away the freedom of others who would choose not to support sodomite relationships.
Anyway, California is a lost cause. Conservatives should be trying to break California up into at least two states, not foolishly hoping to win state-wide elections there.

Homosexuals wish to marry the love of their lives. As long as that love is consenting, their marriage doesn’t impose on anyone else’s freedoms.
Human Rights is not Leftist propaganda.
You might need government involvement to make sure others respect your freedoms.
How are your rights taken away by two people in love getting married? Why does someone else’s marriage bother you in the first place?
Honey, choosing not to support sodomite relationships is exactly what imposing in the freedom of others can be.
Why should conservatives try to break a mostly liberal state into at least two states? Gerrymandering, are we?
So why does the government need to recognize heterosexual marriages and give them certain benefits like filing jointly and recognizing them as next of kin?
And why do you need to support peoples' marriages? Who cares about your opinion?
The government is legally obligated to give everyone the same rights, regardless of sex. If I, a man, am allowed to marry a woman, but Chloe, a woman, is not, then we clearly do not have the same rights. To bring us to equality, there are two options: either both of us are allowed to marry women, or neither of us are.
Something tells me that anyone who ran on a platform of eliminating legal marriage would be lynched for, you know, attacking marriage.
How does allowing two adults of the same sex to marry impose on the freedom of others?
Personally I don't see why the government needs to have it's hand in marriage ether but face it people like this would freak out if Government stayed out of marriage all together. They want THEIR marriage recognized by the government. This is about marriage they agree with being supported by the government while marriage they don't support isn't. This is about the government pushing their fundamental Christian agenda.
Wow! He starts out with a perfectly valid statement….something we Progressives have been trying to tell guys like him FOR YEARS….then FOLLOWS IT WITH NONSENSE THAT COMPLETELY CONTRADICTS IT BECAUSE HE MISSED THE POINT COMPLETELY!
Also; They’re called “Gays” or “Homosexuals”. Sodomites are guys like the Kochs (one died, thank goodness) as the Book of Ezekiel stated.
SODOMITES ARE ROBBER BARONS, CORPORATE RAIDERS, THE CORRUPT 1%, EVIL GREEDY RICH PEOPLE!
IT IS OUT DUTY AS PROGS TO TAKE BACK THAT TERM, “SODOMITE” AND REDEFINE IT BACK TO IT’S ORIGINAL TRUE BIBLICAL MEANING!
WHO’S WITH ME HERE? C’MON!

For happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance , requires only that they who live under its protection should demean themselves as good citizens, in giving it on all occasions their effectual support

Your US Constitution is leftist, then. You may now proceed to make "Olympus Has Fallen" a documentary, thus tear up that document which is the foundation of a nation. PROTIP: In a scene in "World War Z", the US Constitution is being saved from the oncoming zombie apocalypse.
But if you tear up such, what's to stop you lot from being similarly torn apart: as said document which is leftist isn't just the very thing preventing fundie Christains from being eviscerated...?!
...ah, but then, we Atheists don't need to: you're doing a perfectly good job of destroying yourselves over denominational Fundie Fights.
That leftist document is ironically the very thing you lot rely on for your right to exist .
So why then, do the likes of Islam & $cientology have tax exemption status in the US, again...?!
No deal. One nation, under The Bear. You'll come crawling on your hands and knees to the doors of the New California Republic begging for help when the Canadians figure out your small arms and moonshine can't dent British tanks and your Jeebus doesn't shield you from missile strikes. Won't you look foolish. Capitulate to being part of the commonwealth or pledge allegiance to the flag of the bear. You flyovers either learn to say "soory, eh?" Or like fish tacos and pot. You're worthless as anything but bragging rights.
Again; I wish the Parousia was a literal event because I want to see Jesus reading these dumbasses the riot act! Again; He has the worst Misaimed Fandom in history!
Granted; the Bible’s hit or miss but a certain 2000-year old itinerant Rabbi was mostly pretty cool.
There has long been a proposal to separate the more libertarian-leaning areas of California into a new state called “Jefferson”, but even that wouldn’t be all that friendly to religious fundies. But ignoring their idiotic idea that this would somehow create a gay-marriage free paradise or wherever they were going with this, that’s not necessarily a bad idea as part of a larger plan: Break up California into 3 states, Texas into 4, Florida into 2, add in the states of Columbia and Puerto Rico, combine North and South Dakota into Mega-Dakota, and pretend Wyoming doesn’t exist.
“Freedom means letting people do as they wish (ending when they start to impose on the freedom of others).”
You should have stopped there. Cute the way you then push the libertarian line, of less government involvement, then try to sneak your bigotry in, through a pathetic camouflage!
Basically, you don’t need to support ANYONE’s private life - that’s why it’s called that. I have no objection WHATSOEVER to happy heterosexual marriages, but I did object to the way there was a specific law against gay marriage in my country from 2004-17, which was announced at every couple’s Big Day. Now, that’s the sort of government involvement I don’t like, but it’s history now.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
