As far as I can tell, there are 4 types of “ex-LGBT” folks:

1. Attention-seeking trolls who were, with rare exceptions, never what they claim to have been.
2. Kinsey 5s (homoflexible) or homosexual but biromantic people who searched long and hard and finally found someone of the opposite sex whom they can genuinely be with.
3. People who were traumatized, sometimes self-inflicted, into dissociating with their sexual/gender identity. This usually doesn’t last; eventually most become ex-ex-whatevers.
4. People who screwed up in figuring out their identity and stuck with the wrong thing for awhile before realizing that they screwed up. It happens. Alternately, if they have fluid identities with very long phase changes, they might not realize yet that they’re fluid and that their current cis-hetero status is temporary, and thus are still screwing it up.

#1 Should be given the benefit of the doubt unless it’s really, really obvious. #2-#4 are sad in different ways, but that doesn’t make their feelings and experiences any less genuine. The key here, however, is that some on the religious right are promoting their stories as speaking for all LGBTQIA+ people. *This* is the bulk of the “censorship” these types complain about - people who know better saying “no, you/they do not speak for most of us/them”. That’s called “pushback”, and when it happens in large enough volume, can feel like a form of censorship.

Eh, I’ve seen so many weird fetishes that I’m just going to write it off as just that. There’s nothing inherently hateful here, and the only questionable part is of this fantasy using someone’s hand while they’re asleep if it’s done without permission, but somnophilia and inherent nonconsent fantasies are a thing too, so I’m not going to side-eye that too much so long as it’s not seriously presented as “this is the way things should be”.

In mainstream media, same-sex relationships were nearly always played as a disaster (tragic, dramatic, comedic, whatever) or as something doomed, prior to 2008 (in the US anyway, I don’t know about elsewhere). Sometimes for “moral” reasons, sometimes because it’s easier to get it past the studio execs / editors / other gatekeepers, sometimes because it’s a cheap and lazy plot device. Even post-2008, it didn’t die out overnight, and only in the past few years has mainstream media as a whole been held to a higher standard. If that’s all you’ve seen, then that part of it is an understandable attitude. Dumb and wrong, but understandable.

One of the things which grates on a lot of people is that, while you have the right to raise children according to your own beliefs and values, you do not have the right to raise them free of outside influences which may contradict those beliefs and values. (In theory, anyway. In practice, certain groups have always been somewhat privileged in that regard, though less so in modern times. And you can always join an isolated commune or similar.) This has been an issue for parents who have to live in the mainstream while being ideologically outside of it since forever.

Wanting to raise children free of gendered influences isn’t actually wrong, it’s just not realistic. The OP seems to have a weirdly sexist reasoning for doing it, though, which shows that, at best, they are well-meaning but are fully steeped in the kind of influences that they want their children to be free of, which isn’t a good place to work their ideals from. At worst they’re some kind of bigot against the concept of gender itself, with a dislike of masculinity in particular.

Here’s the thing: There’s enough variety to human existence that there’s probably no one system which could work for everyone. With every society which has ever existed, there are those who consider it perfect (or close enough) and have trouble imagining it not being perfect for others. Then there are those who merely consider it okay, or those who don’t like it but aren’t willing to rock the boat much. And then those who will hate it, and end up getting sacrificed in some sense in order to keep the system going, making them hate it even more.

The goal of progressives is to create a society where, whatever other issues there might be, no one is inherently disadvantaged due to race, gender, sexual orientation/identity, religion, social class, etc. We do not live in that society yet, nor do we have any good answers for those who aren’t comfortable without the existence of a “lowest class” which they can feel superior to simply by not bing part of it, particularly since such people would effectively be the “lowest class” under a truly progressive society.

…Also, your idea of “love” is kind of nightmarish to some people, and always has been, despite how it’s often been glorified in pop culture.
