But “refusing to use their labor for certain events that go against their religious conscience” IS denying service! You literally contradicted yourself in the first two sentences.
I’m sorry, but the 1st Amendment doesn’t say that you can force your beliefs on others, nor that absolutely any behaviour is legal so long as you claim it’s “religious belief.” In fact, I guarantee you’d be protesting non-stop if businesses were allowed to post “no Christians allowed.” And it hasn’t been legal to discriminate as a public business since at least the early 60s (but most of the anti-gay types would love to see a return to the days of “whites-only” establishments, anyway).
Oh, and in several of the lawsuits you’re whinging about, “down the street” is actually “another town entirely.” Bakeries are only common in major cities; in more rural areas, you’d be lucky to find a bakery within a 2-hour drive. I know for a fact that in Arkansas, finding a bakery that isn’t just a Walmart baked-goods section outside of Little Rock or maybe Hot Springs is nearly impossible. Are you saying that gay folks down there should just drive all day to see if there’s a single bakery within a day’s drive that will serve them? JFC, I can practically smell the privileged entitlement on you.
“Conversion therapy” is as scientific as trepanning. It’s not actual therapy, it’s been proven to be actually harmful, and it basically boils down to torturing people mentally & sometimes physically until they agree to break the 9th Commandment every day for the rest of their lives, just to meet the expectations of a bunch of scientifically illiterate bigots who care more about appearances than the well-being of their children & families.
Love from other people comes from other people, you dolt. If your family doesn’t love you because you’re gay, they’re terrible people who would probably also do the same if you were born autistic or mixed-race. End of story.
In short: everything you think you know about gay people is wrong, your ideas are all debunked nonsense from anti-gay propaganda, you’re lying to yourself and others (and apparently think that’s perfectly in line with the 10 Commandments, but being born gay isn’t). Basically, you’re an uneducated bigot who hides behind a facsimile of their own religion, so as to avoid actually learning anything or treating other people with basic human decency. And according to Jesus (you know, that guy whose teachings you like to ignore), that means you don’t get to Heaven. Have fun with that.
