Dr. Harry Benjamin made quite a study of transexuals from 1940 to, IIRC, the 70s? His team found about 30 traits in the human body that contribute to gender identity.
At the time he started the research, the treatment for dysphoria was basically brainwashing. Making the mind match the body.
Banjamin felt that it would be better to make the body match the mind. This treatment has an Uh-MAZE-zing success rate. Less than 1% regrets.
So, not a logical argument nearly as much as ‘fucking results.’
