Putin has pissed off most of the world, and ended Swedish neutrality. Germany is shipping weapons. Switzerland is freezing assets. Belarus was violating the sanctions and now they’re getting sanctioned as well. Mighty few are standing with Putin. I’ll pick up that check if you want.
Putin’s failure to swiftly conquer Ukraine probably put the kibosh on China’s invasion of Taiwan. China does not even pretend to have a fortress economy and will not risk offending all their markets. I’ll give Biden a victory parade (like Trump had a hard-on for) for that.
Ukraine’s going to be fast-tracked into the EU, probably into NATO, if ONLY to piss off Putin, and/or humiliate him. Where do you want my signature on that?
He’s threatening nukes. But his people, the generals, the oligarchs, they have family and business interests across Europe, kids in school in London, girlfriends in Miami. They’re gonna pause.
Plus, they KNOW we’re going to respond without pause in reaction. So if they lauch, they’re gong to destroy the whole world. Which may be okay for Putin, but not necessarily everyone else.
