Think about some of my characters. Pahner comes to mind. This is a person who has their act together to almost insane degree. Stolid in battle. Wise in character. A good mentor and trainer. An absolute stud personally.

Thus the characters in my books, or LOTR, certainly the protagonist/heroes are based upon the best of humanity. People I've known over the years and while sometimes exaggerated (Faith is based on one of my daughters who is not and never will be quite that level) are still inherently great people. Because I've had the honor to have alot of great people in my life.

Various moments in my books have come from personal experience or from stories told by such people. One scene that comes to mind (two come to think of it) are when Mike O'Neal is caught in an underground current in his suit and the feeling of complete loss of control. The other is when Butch's suit is breached.

I've been caught in a current cave diving as well as had air malfunctions and thought I was going to die. Been there, done that. I can write it from personal experience. Overcome fear any number of times to complete a mission. BTDT

Now, think about two things. 1. (Gah!) Starfleet Academy. 2. Anything you know or have seen about the 'woke' crowd. Think about Alex Pretti or Rachel Good. Think about Don Lemon. Think about any of the posters on Reddit or Bluesky.

Now imagine being a creator SURROUNDED by people like that. Imagine BEING a person like that.

Where are they going to get truly heroic, stoic, mature, sane characters? People who work the problem instead of be the problem? People who work the problem until it's fixed or they're dead?

TL;Dr The Left is evil and therefore assumes that the Right is even MORE evil and can't grasp it isn't. Thus they assume the Right talks 'privately' about wanting to kill their opponent's children not realizing that... no we don't.

Start:

The Left does in fact constantly talk about using violence against the Right and not just against politicians they don't like but ANYONE Right wing, their families, etc.

The Right does not* but the Left cannot grasp that the Right doesn't descend to 'I want to kill Kamala Harris' children because I don't like her politics.'

When the DNC was hacked so was the RNC.

The DNC hacks showed clear intention/action to commit various 'frauds' (some of them hard to action legally like giving Hillary the questions to the debate some of them more actionable.)

The RNC emails showed very 'normal' political processes: Who do we get money from. So and so donor wants us to concentrate on this issue but... Where does the money go...?

To the extent the MSM covered the RNC hacks - little- they tried to make them out about 'dark money' and such but it was just normal politics. And DNC spokespeople INSISTED that there were 'other' 'darker' Republican emails because THEY CANNOT GRASP THE OTHER SIDE DOESN'T DO THEIR EVIL SHIT.

There HAD TO BE other emails where they talked about how to do vote fraud because 'OF COURSE THEY DO BECAUSE WE DO!'

That's the thing to grasp about this comment about 'a private conversation.' The Leftist subtext is:

'Well, duh, they were talking about killing an opponent's children, everybody does! The Right does it all the time! Wait til we find YOUR TEXTS you evil BIGOT!'

That's the 'read between the lines.'

The Left is evil.

Since the Right is bad we are more evil.

We are just better at hiding it.

That is REALLY HOW THEY THINK.

And, yes, they want to not only kill you but your children.
