And looking through the bullshit shows people that
1. Social distancing and masks are an effective way to combat the plague, if done well.
2. Doing nothing and hoping it goes away doesn't work.
3. Just like with the Native Americans, if there is a novel disease in large population centers, it can rack up a sizable body count.
4. Actively hindering any method to combat something is the worst way to beat that thing.

I’ve been called a lot of things online, but never a nazi. But if my bright fuchsia mask with polka dots sends the right wing majini into a sputtering, frothing rage, possibly on the verge of a rage induced stroke, it’s worth continuing to wear it for that reason alone. Plus the whole avoiding catching & spreading a potentially fatal, infectious virus, as well as not being able to go into my local Acme for pumpkin spice muffins without one.
