Desmond is Amazing! is actually the stage name of Desmond Napoles, a genderfluid 12 year old who performs in drag. This is, for obvious reasons, pretty controversial in the LGBT+ community. Drag shows can be highly sexualised (although they aren't inherently), so there's some legitimate concern about whether he should be participating at his age. When people like this bring him up, though, it's obviously in bad faith. They're not concerned about a minor being sexualized. They just don't like that Desmond is gender nonconforming. They would love to see him miserable or even dead.

I’m wondering if Honkler and/or the “clown world” meme is a pushback against decades of dismissing certain news entertainers, pundits, and politicians (mostly, but not exclusively, conservative) who were all showmanship and no substance (and sometimes, no brains) as clowns. Maybe they can’t fully understand the complexities of the modern world and thus feel powerless because they can’t navigate it with the ease of those who do understand. It feels weird and crazy, and yet, the people who speak to them (most often, by offering quick and easy but wrongheaded blame for their woes) are dismissed as mere idiotic buffoons. Maybe they’re perversely embracing the label themselves, or trying to turn it back on others, or trying to subvert it somehow, or even just experimenting with all of those and see if any of them work.

I don’t know, just spitballing here.

It’s some weirdo called Jessica Yaniv who’s allegedly a transwoman who has a thing for suing salons run by immigrant women who refuse to wax her neither regions. Most articles about her are from Right-Wing rags. These are the few from regular, non-wingnut news-sites that cover it.

Yaniv is basically the embodiment of all the bad stereotypes that the Far-Right has about transwomen.

Also; When a salon happily agrees to giving her a waxing, she’s like “Never mind. I don’t wanna wax”. She also doesn’t persue lawsuits against salons that lawyer up really good.

Yaniv is probably some crossdressing Far-Right troll dude messing with Canada’s anti-discrimination laws while suing and putting out of business brown-skinned immigrants salon-owners. She was even a jerkass towards wingnut-token transwoman, Blaire White.

Few Progressives have addressed this because there’s so many nuances (Yaniv’s complaint technically sounds reasonable in theory if one puts it in the same light as the ‘LGBTQ Wedding Cake’ thing, which is why it’s so hard for the Left to deal with this) and it’s such a hot potato but I feel it must be addressed because Yaniv is literally wreaking havoc on anti-hate-crime laws.
