So... Back to straight? (trans man who likes women?)
I guess? So... did you have a point?
>First presumed straight
...who by: you ?! Do you presume peoples' sexuality, and by what authority do you have the right to?!
PROTIP: Bisexuals.
'Presumption'? In your case Ass umption: The mother of all fuckups.
Playing devil’s advocate for a moment, this is the kind of stuff the right drools over. She announces she’s a lesbian and nobody bats an eye but then she says she’s a straight man. (That’s not how *I* see it, but how they choose to spin it).
To the OP;
Folks like Elliot Page are not suffering from indecision… it’s called revealing oneself in stages based personal safety / what society will allow…
Take Elton John for example; He once dated women and sang about women but he was really gay. Initially, he came out as “bisexual” because society was super-homophobic and being “Bi” still lent you some “Hetero Cred”.
However; When society became far more accepting of Gays, he fully came out, told the truth, revealed he was Gay and only was into men and even married a guy.
Then there’s Chaz Bono, who’s situation mirrors Page’s; Started life as a gal named “Chastity”, came out as “Lesbian” first only to later turn out to really be a heterosexual trans-man and renamed himself “Chaz”.
… It’s not being fickle. It’s survival, because of jerks like you.
Another thing to note is that many people, especially comorbid with hormone treatments, have swings in sexuality that are really unpredictable.
I know several transmasc persons who are now "gay" for masculine people following pre-HRT attractions to women (what would be assumed as lesbian ideation, at that epoch of their lives).
Making assumptions and declarations of what you are or aren't when you haven't even finished hormonal and developmental "settling" is not very useful.

Not necessarily.
That’s one possible scenario, yes, but it may just as well be that it took him a long time to ‘sort himself out’. While some trans people were very aware of their true gender since childhood, for a lot of others it’s more complicated and/or less clear. A lot of transfolk don’t understand what’s ‘wrong’ with them and why they’re unhappy with their lives until they’re in their twenties, thirties or sometimes even later.
In short, there are as many trans experiences as there are trans people.
Confused?
