…God is not one to talk about the sanctity of life, considering how many innocents god directly killed in the Old Testament alone, including, afaik, children and pregnant women.
...and in Soviet Reality, people are not going to bless the worst hypocrite when it comes to abortions in his own Turd... er, I mean 'Word': as innocent women were knitting together precious children in their wombs, God literally murdered them in Hosea 13:16.
...because you know the only possible way you can get out of this paradox of hypocrisy the above represents: admit that the 'Word' of your 'God' isn't literal, and in it's entirety .

Knowing such ones, they’ll assert that God, and God alone, has the privilege of being able to kill in cold blood without fear of reprisal from anywhere. Hierarchy 101 (or 102…).
Besides, not everyone in the Bible was fully pleased with everything God did/does. Exhibit A: Habakkuk. (And his point was obliquely born out—God’s plan for dispelling Hebrew classism didn’t work. )
God has no problems with abortions. Causing a miscarriage is punishable with a fine, that's it.

The use of superstition to subjugate women is nothing new. One would think that in the West Christians who gladly denounce the superstitions of others would not do the same thing at home. Like with other superstitions, people make ridiculous claims to support any argument they like. Nothing divine there.
In the JWs they use the concept of "loss of Holy Spirit blessing" from the congregation or house to blame people of sins when random troubles happen, with the Biblical verse about secrets and sins eventually being revealed (Luke 8:17)...
But another example of superstition used to control women are making people believe the women they don't like are witches. Some societies also have superstitions related to menstruation...
