Now, I am going to talk to you about the truth about my name. Not everyone, but many in the Light Community call me Ashtar Sheran, which is not correct. I actually have two names. I am over 500,000 years old and most of my Galactic lives were positive, in which I brought light to the Cosmos. Because of my dedication to serve the Light, the Galactic Light Forces gave me the name of Lord of Light. I received this name for my contributions of helping many Galactic Civilizations in their quest for freedom.

The word Lord in our dimension doesn’t mean the same thing as in your reality. In your world Lord means mostly a royal title, in our higher dimension it means someone, who serves the Light. My second name is my Galactic Commander name of Ashtar Command and the Galactic Light Forces, which is Ashtar. Everyone in our Universe calls me Ashtar, no Galactic Being calls me Ashtar Sheran.

Galactic Civilizations do not have last names, they only go by their first name. Only humans have first and last names. When I first communicated with humanity, I only gave the name Ashtar, the human channel made up and gave me the last name of Sheran. Sheran is a Jewish name, I am not Jewish or even human. I am Pleaidian and l mainly only go by the name of Ashtar.

I was the first Pleaidian baby created on the planet called Ashtar and in honor of this event, I was named the same name as the planet, which is Ashtar. In our Pleaidian language Ashtar means star. The word star in our society represents Light. Stay positive and strong in this process to a New Earth.

So, your culture honours distinguished individuals with sobriquets. And in half a million years of dedicated service, you have only earned… one? Lame.

So apparently, all the immortal interdimensional cosmic aliens really speak actual English. After all, if this was an issue of translation, then surely, a more fitting terminology (e.g. luminary) could be used, even (and, perhaps for the sake of clarity, especially) if by coincidence, the actual word happens to be /lord/ as a false friend?

This seems rather implausible to me, especially if we are to believe that species of absurdly humanoid anatomy and psychology are common, given both the Law of Small Numbers and the many varied naming systems that we can observe even within our species, which includes several different one that give paired names. And yes, our Western formula of given name + meaningless inherited family name is not even close from universal among humanity, is not even all that old, and has plenty of exceptions even in the West (middle names, nobiliary articles in German and Dutch (and by import, the Scandinavian languages), Hungarian having the opposite order…), so that’s hardly a distinctive trait of humanity.

False friends happen even among unrelated languages, just by virtue of limits of phonetics. In fact, “Ashtar” sounds rather suspiciously close to both the Greek (and inherited by most Western languages) aster for star and the Semitic goddess Ishtar/Astare…

In our Pleaidian language Ashtar means star.

…well, what did I just say? Although, I guess that means that they do not actually speak English after all.

But… but that would take actually looking up stuff about real science no one’s ever heard of, rather than just building on the brand recognition of the works of previous charlatans writing about one of the most recognisable and oldest and prettiest asterisms!

If hacks like this can write bullshit and pass it off as "channeling" aliens, I can.

I am Exial, ambassador of the Intergalactic Union. I'm sending this transmission as my agents got reports of people believing they're channeling messages from the Pleiades and an alleged "Commander Ashtar."

Let me tell you, you're being tricked. The Pleiades is too young to be hospitable to life, and even if aliens could live there, it would be used as a secret base for the worst scum of this and nearest galaxies. Moreover the alleged Ashtar is actually a wanted criminal and cult leader for the charges of embezzlement, calls to violence against other planets, and running a cattle-rustling ring in Mars, which also explains those stories of UFOs stealing Earth farmers' cows.

To be honest, doing this is too easy for me.

I know I’ve thought of doing mock-up messages with an alien who’s basically a five-foot ambush bug…using an artificial base orbiting one of Mu Arae’s planets (specifically Dulcinea)…amazed that it was genuine coincidence that the reptilian infiltrators’ home star was called by us Delta Lacertae…and is mostly relieved that we’re actually doing a decent job of rebuffing the infiltrators’ “gospel” of authoritarianism. The Duskspeakers (the good guys) are far more concerned with two genuinely more crisis-addled systems, anyway (Beta Horologii and HD 231701).

This reads like a final boss in a video game or ttrpg, or movie or book.
