Cody Williams: I do see the word "or." Except American history is not your history. American culture isn't your culture and you had to adopt it from Americans. The English language isn't your language and you had to adopt it from Americans.

By Cody his own logic he is British/Anglo/Euro and not American. Also you cannot “own” a language anymore than Chinese people can own Hanzi, Chinese cannot order Japanese to change or create more characters anymore than they can command Vietnamese people to start using characters again .

The English language isn't the language of the Americas it's the language of the English.

English is the official language of my country. I did not adopt it from Americans, except for some spellings, like the colors in the harbor. American culture though...

Also it is a part of Indian, Nigerian, Malaysian and Kenyan culture to speak English. Its their language as well.

If Landon has American citizenship, he's an American. Some of the Founding Fathers were immigrants who were naturalized American after the Revolutionary War.

I’ve said it before, I work at a truck stop in the “good ol USA”….ya know, truck drivers are certainly part of “American culture,” right? An occupation that I’m sure conservatives champion, as part of “the backbone of America” or words to that effect. And I’m even with them on that. And not just because my place of employment wouldn’t exist if not for them!

But if ya think all those truck drivers are good ol English-speaking folks, well, you can think again!

There’s an Indian Cafeteria in the truck stop near my childhood home that does pretty good business. Lots of Indian truck drivers stop there for a meal. I live in California.
