As easy as it is to laugh at these asshats griping on the internet about political arguments with family, I think we should remember that MAGA fascism and QAnon has butchered the relationships of thousands of Americans. It’s pretty sad, really.

With very rare exceptions, “shit-testing” is not an actual thing. Your attempt to browbeat someone into temporary submission, whether ultimately successful or otherwise, does not imply that they were expecting you to do so in order to prove your “worthiness” (read: naked aggression) to them.
