Yep. And your evidence that the lasers are shot AT THE STARS rather than something closer, in the direction OF the stars, would be....?

For crying out loud! The petition for the US government to build their own Death Star was a friggin’ joke.

Granted, with the orange clown at the helm you cannot be sure anymore, but regardless, the DS can only destroy nearby planets not distant stars anyway.

The Death Star isn’t firing lasers anyway, unless space is made of really thick air. Which would explain a lot about how Star Wars physics works, actually. No, it’s firing antimatter plasma or something like that.

Yeah, right, it sounds like someone is stuck in the Dark Ages, before Copernicus and his heliocentric theories. The only one which is fairly close is the morning star, but that’s because Venus isn’t a star, it’s another planet.
