This is why we have laws against assault … AND FUCKING EXPECT EVERYONE TO FOLLOW THEM! This is why we have prisons, to put people who don’t follow such laws.

If you want to lynch everyone you don’t like, don’t complain when someone is lynching you … because they don’t like you. You are only getting what you asked for.

Of course they should be punished, that's not only assault, but a pretty cowardly one at that. So have the perpetrator convicted, after a proper trial, then jailed. Just like the infamous Granny Killer - but he was white.
