This is about the press following fads rather then looking at how much of a threat something actually is. For all the fear it caused the number of serial killers in the US is low enough that tripping and hitting your head on something is a greater risk of death.

I find rhetoric has had effect on psychopaths shooting up places.

Don’t worry, there’s still serial killers being found lately, it’s just that the medias find it so passé.

And if I really wanted to do depopulation then there would be more efficient methods such as large-scale wars or famines.

I can’t remember the FBI counts on how many serial killers are active at any given time in the US but it’s always some. Just not as exciting anymore I guess?

Might also be the lack of lead in gasoline, who knows.

Did you ever read on "critical thinking" before redefining it to "conspiracy theory"?

This also seems to be voluntary distraction from the actual reasons behind mass shootings, disinformation.

Serial Killers don’t get as much press anymore, not when they can start a headline with ‘48 Dead’ or whatever today’s number is. I’m sure they’re still out there.
The mass shootings track better with the availability of guns and the expiration of any gun control laws.
