If people knew that the Earth is all there is, and that there is no outta space with gazillions of galaxies, believing in the Creator would be a logical deduction.
That why the father of the lie & ruler of this world, Satan, teaches that you are an insignificant speck of dust.

SIGH
Gr8Believer, let me ask you something. Arrogance and pride are sins, yes? THE sins, in fact. Then how is it not the height of hubris to believe that the universe exists purely to (quite literally) revolve around us humans? The only life in existence and made in the image of the Supreme Being? Is it not the height of hubris to believe to know and understand god? Likewise, how is it insulting to the Supreme Being to believe the Supreme Being created a far greater existence than it supposedly did?
To me, an atheist, it makes more sense to believe in god as a true Supreme Being when you consider that it “created” and governs an entire multiverse, composed of trillions of individual universes, each of which contains a myriad of galaxies with millions of lifeforms each.
That, my “friend”, is much more awe inspiring and spiritual than what you claim.
How can anyone be so afraid of the Unknown, so desparate for significance, so immensely egocentric?
How can anyone gaze upon this magnificient universe, unfathomably vast and ancient, filled with wonders beyond imagination both grand and small, and react with fear and despair, and ultimately with denial?
How can anyone mutilate the world in their mind until nothing remains but themselves and their Mary Sue of an imaginary friend?

That actually reminds me of a quote from Star Trek, from Q himself concerning the vastness of the cosmos: ”It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross. But it's not for the timid."
But yeah, I also genuinly can’t grasp why some people so desperatly want our little world to be all that exists. Even in most fantasy settings there is more to existence than just Earth (or its equivalent).

Because they’re incurably small-minded, and the idea that they, in some way, should lift their gaze away from its narrow focus on their petty life and their sacred book is something they’re completely unprepared for.
Confused?
