Anti-vaxxers have never seen what polio does to the body. They've never seen an iron lung. They've never cared for someone in so much pain that just walking towards them hurts because of the vibrations of the floor from your footsteps.
Once muscle tissue dies, it never comes back. Good luck relearning how to walk with whatever muscles you have left, if you're fortunate enough to have any.
I've seen polio; one great-aunt on my father's side had a withered leg, and my mother's cousin couldn't move faster than a walk without falling.
I propose we allow health insurance companies to drop any customers who refuse to get the proper vaccines. If you want to take your health into your own hands and screw the rest of us, you can take on the responsibility for your own medical bills, too.
