Tell you honestly, I don’t find him too far off the mark on this. Be what you want in your head, never expect anyone to play along with your fantasies though. I do notice though he’s posting this on a furry site, so either he just finds furry really squick, or he actually has had an experience with a furry who didn’t know when to let the fantasy go and live in the real world. For those really worried about furries, there’s a much smaller percentage who don’t get boundaries than you’d think, mostly because there’s a lot more people into furry to some extent than you’d believe. The Covington Catholic High School kids fiasco was just plain a clusterfuck from every angle. Starting with Hebrew Israelites (no, not Jews, racist blacks who believe the only real Jews are black people, everyone else is fake) started their dumb chant at the kids, the kids figure it’s a good time to put in their dumb chant, and then Native American demonstrators nearby decide to try to de-escalate the situation, by getting between them and adding another dumb chant. Instead of, you know, having representatives from the Native American group just go up to the people on both sides and try to convince them nothing’s being accomplished, a real attempt at peace. Any way you cut it, everyone there was an idiot.

I’m guessing Maddie Mueller is fighting to wear a MAGA hat against a dress code rule against hats, period. Any school I’ve ever been in banned all headwear, anywhere on school grounds, without a medical or religious exception.

Same thing with Gunnar Johansson, every school bus I’ve been on, no headwear without medical or religious exception.

I don’t recall one that would let students bring in any flag unless it’s part of a class project or presentation. As such most likely Logan Jones got in trouble about the flag, or acting like a dick about it, and the Trump sweatshirt is an incidental nobody cared about until MAGAts decided to bring it up.

There have been people who have gotten so obsessed with Dungeons & Dragons, as well as other tabletop role playing games, that they have to some degree lost touch with reality. Yes, @Swede, microwaves are what make a microwave oven cooking device work, specifically tuned to a frequency range most readily absorbed by water. In the electrical hypersensitivity scare, they did find that most people are absolutely making it up, whether they realize it or not. One simple test, leave them in a room with no known electrical devices, watch them relax, come in with a hidden electrical device they claim causes problems, watch them remain relaxed, pull out said device, watch them instantly get sick. For most it was simply psychosomatic symptoms of mental illness.

However, some people have been found to be more sensitive than others. So far none legitimately found to be sensitive enough to even notice a cell phone on in the room, much less sickened by it, but where most people can walk near an electrical substation or faulty transformer with no issues, these people do get genuinely sick, even with detectable physical changes in the body that aren’t present when it’s just psychosomatic. It still requires a fairly powerful field for these people. Some may (from my own thinking, no study) have this resulting from greater levels of magnetically responsive metals in their bodies. And with a powerful enough field, we all experience problems, even with micro- and radio waves. As far as I know though, no one has ever actually been exposed to lower frequency radiation that powerful, and there is no natural source on Earth, and no space borne source has been powerful enough to get that much power through our atmosphere, at least in recorded history.

Although, I think of one possible exception to that, but it preceded any kind of radio-analysis technology, so no telling everything that was present, but the Earth has been close enough to a supernova in recorded history that several sources all over the world record it, including that the source of the supernova itself was so bright that it can easily be seen in the sky even at midday for at least 3 days, so that had to be a lot of energy.

Here they were making a point, and then decided to diverge by making foul misinterpretations of what hate speech is. By example, their mention of the blasphemy laws that had Asia Bibi in prison until her acquittal. All the while completely ignoring that blasphemy is not hate speech, anti-blasphemy laws are about protecting a particular religion’s power, while antihate speech laws are about protecting everyone from being threatened with violence. Do actual hate speech laws get misused? Yes, absolutely. But so do the laws and guidelines of every single religion in the world older than about 30 years. We’re left only with the exception of Pastafarianism, as far as I can see, being the only religion that isn’t used to abuse others.

I’ll admit there’s problems with a things that the APA says, because there’s no one yet I’ve heard significant portions of their words that’s I’ve thought had everything figured out. But at least the people at the APA, if you can bring them a reasonable argument, backed with genunine scientific study, will reconsider it. Such as, homosexuality used to be listed as a dangerous mental illness, which was reconsidered after they actually talked to homosexual people and found out that, in general, they’re only as crazy as the rest of us anyway.

On the other hand, these holy rollers have their dogma presented by their chosen version of the Bible (amazing how often it’s KJV only), and will not consider anything else, rather accepting it as proven fact that this book is absolutely correct, so they must be too. Okay, "Answers to Your Questions for a Better Understanding of Sexual Orientation and Homosexuality" may have some problems we could all pick at, and again, the authors would actually listen to a reasonable argument. All books of the Bible have problems that have been picked at over thousands of years, and Brian Matthews’s response is the same as any other zealot. “Do it my way, because my God said so.”

Other sites still don’t show downvotes at all, but you can get browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome that will show the numbers like that site does. Basically, just injects the code into the HTML that some sites don’t bother with, but they do.
