Maybe the media is selling what people like? The Murdoch mention is ironic, because it includes selling bigotry, including racism, as well as political disinformation, to those who like to hear it, so are restricting themselves to outlets serving their ideology like Fox News. Notorious for ramping it up in panic mode, to compete with extremist neo-nazi Newsmax...
But fortunately there's other people who like a wider diversity of media and some more reliable sources. Some of them are also attracted by sexy people no matter their color, they like a media that represents their reality. And they're aware of systemic racism that maintains delusions about the potential of people, they know of people like themselves, no matter their color, everywhere in society.
They also know that even in far isolated tribes, there often are doctors originating from their own community, transiting between cities and small villages, providing health services, etc. They earned their credentials like anybody else of any color would.
Why is that not surprising? We're just the same species. Even isolated tribes often found themselves isolated again, splitting from larger civilization in times of crisis.
The US is really one of those paradoxes where systemic racism is still incredible and includes third-world style areas, deep urban stratification, an elite fighting against better public services and against education... Authoritarian tax-evading exploitation cults who maintain people in ignorance and disinformation, indoctrinating them to also be useful idiots who vote against their own rights, it's often borderline slavery.
