When I had a heart attack, I suppose I should have just laid on the front lawn and prayed, rather than struggling inside and calling 000 and getting an ambulance to take me, relatively safe and sound, to Hospital.
I look back over the 11 years that have passed since that event, and remain convinced that calling emergency made a tad more sense than laying there praying to some sort of god. And ambulance staff, doctors, nurses, the people who cleaned and bought me meals, and other wonderful staff were really a lot more important to my future than a fictional character who can’t do anything.
