Sorry, the lives of chickens really are worth less than the lives of humans. Hell, I love my cat and would be devestated if he were to die an untimely death but if I had to choose between saving his life or saving the life of just about any human, I'd choose the human. There are some humans I would value less than my cat though - Hitler, so-called incels who want to enslave women, etc.

Though I guess the love I have for my cat might make me somewhat biased against chickens. If there's one thing my cat and I can agree on, it's that birds are delicious (though I like to cook mine before I eat them)

Respecting women is just something that decent men do. I mean, why wouldn't you respect women? We're regular people, just like men. I respect men, though I guess there are a few exceptions (like you, for example).

As for the rest. Here's the thing: normal people, regardless of gender, have other things that make them happy besides sex. So, even if some of the guys here don't have active sex lives, there's plenty of benifits to a secular society other than lax attitudes about sex. Usually religious societies have nonsensical rules about what's right and wrong and they impose those rules on everybody. Someone who values freedom of thought would find such a society a nightmare. I can understand why you don't care about having your freedom of thought taken away though. After all, you'd have to *have* a few thoughts in the first place for that to matter one way or the other.

I live in California, and to be honest I'm not too sure what all this nonsense is about. I hear about nuts who want to secede every now and then but I don't really pay much attention to them. I suspect most of my fellow Californians also mostly ignore these kinds of loonies. I do remember seeing some stuff by some nuts who wanted to split California into several states. I think that was going to be on the ballot in a recent election, but it got struck down by the courts if I remember correctly. I don't really remember, but I do remember that one of the ballot propositions had been widthdrawn before it could be voted on. I thought it was the split California up thing but maybe it was a seccession thing? I didn't bother doing any research on a proposition that was no longer there to be voted on, and we almost always have way too many ballot initiatives every single fucking election. Just about anything can be put on a ballot here; it's ridiculous. Er, I guess this comment probably wasn't that helpful given my lack of recolection, but there it is anyway.
