So he’s in favor of keeping the electoral college and giving “middle America” (presumably meaning “red states”) disproportionate representation…but more “blue states” so therefore more Dem representation in the Senate? Oh no, we can’t have that…
I just read on Wikipedia that there was a proposal earlier this year to take parts of Oregon and Northern California and join them to Idaho, which would basically result in more “red state” electoral votes and/or less blue ones. I have a weird feeling he’d see nothing wrong with that idea. Anyway, though, any proposal for splitting up or changing states would have to ultimately go through the US Senate, which as of now at least, is majority Republican. Of course that might change in November.
