Usually the child was sized to the mother. And babies have a lot of smaller bones/soft skills in order to help them get out of the womb slightly easier. Women often died from complications like diseases (people took a while to figure out sanitation) not because the baby was too big. You're not your full height at birth and you don't have a growth spurt until your teens.

If your own value was she won't die in birth having your kid, that's a pretty poor reason to have sex with you. Get some self esteem.

John Jay should've known better. Maryland was founded as a colony for Catholics, Pennsylvania tolerated everyone, New England started off as Puritan colonies, New York was originally Dutch and the southern states had slavery. The colonies didn't start working together until the French and Indian War.

The US has been multicultural since it's beginnings as colonies on a far flung shore. There were numerous Native tribes, European colonists and African slaves since 1619! We're not pushing multiculturalism, we're acknowledging that the US already is multicultural and trying to put the spotlight on previously overlooked people!

My paternal grandfather was small and kind of scrawny. He was more into tennis then say ice hockey (he grew up in Wisconsin) or football. My biological maternal grandfather was mostly out of the picture till I was a teenager but he was said to be very charming when he wasn't drunk. Both married in the 1950s.

Reparations are to make up for the continued shutting out of economic wealth that African Americans suffered in the years since slavery. The New Deal was critized for largely exempting industries that the majority of blacks were hired in at the time. Redlining discouraged banks from making home loans and even today African Americans have a hard time getting loans to create businesses.

There's a lot of areas where African Americans have worse outcomes because of implicit bias. A month or so ago, a doctor died because other doctors thought she was exaggerating her pain!
