I don't understand the argument here. As I read it, he's not saying that these pedophiles were never priests to begin with. He's saying that because pedophilia is an anathema to the church that it is literally impossible for a priest to fall into it. Maybe impossible for any Catholic, depending on how you interpret his statements.

That's how I interpreted it anyway. Which is strange given that church doctrine is literally based on the idea that all people are sinners and need to be saved.

Goku is based on a character known as the monkey king, who travelled with the monk and defended him against demons who were trying to stop his mission.

So pretty far from a demonic character I would say.

In Dragonball the Dragonballs were a replacement for the Buddhist texts from the original story. Also even though the dragons are magical, they turned out to be creations of an alien race, not spirits per se.
