Thus academic tenure is similar to the lifetime tenure that protects some judges from external pressure. Without job security, the scholarly community as a whole may experience pressure to favor noncontroversial lines of academic inquiry. The intent of tenure is to allow original ideas to be more likely to arise, by giving scholars the intellectual autonomy to investigate the problems and solutions as they see fit, and to report their honest conclusions." (Wikipedia). After many appeals he has since moved on and currently resides at Ball State University in Indiana as an assistant professor in the department of physics and astronomy.
Two years prior to his consideration for tenure, approximately 130 members of the faculty of Iowa State University signed a statement opposing "all attempts to represent Intelligent Design as a scientific endeavor." Similar statements were issued by faculty at the University of Northern Iowa and at the University of Iowa. A total of approximately 400 professors signed the three petitions. Here are a few of the statements made:

Wow. Does that sound like objective scientists to anybody? Banding together to pre-emptively strike down any and all theory of intelligent design, regardless of evidence. A Creator is just too unthinkable for these "scientists" regardless of where the evidence leads. Even the TV show, Ancient Aliens, is more objective than this bunch and regularly exposes the ridiculously flawed version of history we are required to believe. They, too, however, have an unthinkable attitude toward God, and so attribute our creation and assistance to aliens. The responsibility for the overwhelming evidence for our design has to belong to someone, right?
How very strange that any honest research that leads to logical conclusions pointing to intelligent design should be such an affront to the establishment, and so, be discredited straightaway. Once upon a time we formed theories based on evidence. Today we force the "evidence" to fit the theory and discard what doesn't fit. This inexcusable bias and intolerance to truth is, alas, the reality of the "science" of today. Shameful. We really have to do our own homework and fully utilize the Internet. Mainstream channels are unreliable and you simply won't find the truth on T.V. Those who know Jesus (the) Christ know the Truth. We hear God and know His Word. While it's fine to cite some physical proof of the veracity of the Scripture, it does not take the place of knowing God, hearing God, and believing His Word. Science is not the definitive proof of God's existence and the Truth of His written Word, Faith is the definitive proof.

Being that there is scientific fact concerning Adam and Eve, this should be reason enough for it to be taught in schools, it is shows proof that our origin comes from God creating male and female and that we did not evolve from a monkey,fish or whatever they claim. If Catholicism is going to be honored, then it's a bit unfair not to honor other pagan religions. At least Hinduism doesn't claim to be Christianity. Catholicism is more of a danger to the Truth than Hinduism. Many people who reject Catholicism also automatically believe that Protestantism is Truth, but this is a misguided belief, not Faith.

The fact is Science and Christianity are certainly compatible, as seen in any number of scientists who believed in the Scriptures before Darwin was ever born. Galileo, Newton, Bacon, Kepler, etc. In the latter case the Dutch Reformed Church gave Kepler funding for his astronomical research. We can also surmise that this cause must be personal, in some sense, as It has chosen to create, and only personal agents can create, to our knowledge. Moreover, this Cause has chosen to create (or allow the creation of) persons (that's us!) - indicating strongly that It is personal.
This Cause is also self-existing, right? We know that either the universe (or multiverses, if they exist) are self-existing OR the Cause of same is self-existing. (Those are really the 2 options we have.) But, since the secular data points toward the universe having a beginning (and overwhelmingly so), then we must conclude that the First Uncaused Cause is self-existing. There is also a way to argue that this Cause is immutable or changeless. Let's not get into that too much, but it's worth thinking about on your own, OK?
So, we have: spaceless, timeless, non-material, immensely powerful, personal free will, self-existing, changeless. All we are really missing is omnispresent, omniscient, and holy. There are arguments there as well, particularly for the first two. But, we have Something that looks a LOT like the Judeo-Christian God.

The Sun, while not habitable at all, is quite useful - it is the perfect star for us to be orbiting - in terms of size, type, power output and stability, and distance from us. Jupiter does an excellent job of sweeping asteroids out of our way and also of helping keep our planetary orbit more stable, as its gravitational effect on us is not inconsequential. Moving out into the galaxy, we need those heavy elements from supernovae, but, of course do not want to be too close to them when they occur. Our location in the outskirts of the Milky Way is perfect! Many galaxies are largely uninhabitable due to their star densities, but do a great job of feeding other galaxies with stellar material - absolutely essential to life here.

A school can decide to, for example, put up Ten Commandment displays and no one can force them not to.

But in a Christian nation, the populace will be personally choosing to put up Ten Commandment displays often. Those that do not like this can start voting in a large number of people that believe differently and hope it changes.

Ahh yes. Can you feel that, folks? The winds of change sweeping over us as the tide of public opinion turns against us. As a growing number of "churches" become apostate and worldly, true Christianity becomes increasingly marginalized with a small group of fanatical fundamentalist "hold outs" still vainly clinging to the NOW rejected position that the Bible is or ever was the inerrant Word of God. No longer would there be three
branches of government each having responsibility in a specific role –

Watching someone die over a longer period of time under such cancer treatments is extremely painful to undergo and to watch. Religious medicine has no Scriptural standing in denying her request.

An attorney who works for Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore has penned a letter to government officials throughout the state, urging them to take a stand for Christ in light last week’s Supreme Court ruling declaring that same-sex “marriage” must be legalized in all 50 states.
“Public officials are ministers of God assigned the duty of punishing the wicked and protecting the righteous,” Win Johnson wrote in a letter sent to Gov. Robert Bentley and other civil magistrates.
“If the public officials decide to officially approve of the acts of the wicked, they must logically not protect the righteous from the wicked. In fact, they must become protectors of the wicked,” he said. “You cannot serve two masters; you must pick—God or Satan.”
He then spoke specifically of the matter of homosexuality, stating that the government can never legalize what God has called unlawful.

“Public official, what will you do?” he asked. “Will you stand up for the law of Alabama, for the people, for the weak and vulnerable, for the law of God? Or will you capitulate? Will you become complicit in the takeover by the wicked?”
Johnson then sought to dismantle common excuses for capitulation.

His law is not subject to the vote of man, and He, as the good and loving author of that law, does not exempt any nation from it.”

And God is a righteous judge and will judge us all – not turn a blind eye to our sin. Do not be deceived by the world: it’s God we will have to convince that His word was a lie, not men. What happened in Noah’s day when the entire world rejected God? Did God spare them because there were so many? No – they all perished except for Noah and his family!

In Revelation 13, the “Mark of the Beast” is a symbol of State forced participation in sin. Those who do not comply can no longer buy or sell. They look up to God even if they don't know He exists mentally but spiritually because in their heart they have a realization of God. At that point is when God draws them to His Son. The Holy Spirit is our confirmation that the Bible is the only Word of God and that His Son Jesus Christ is the only path to The Father. Every other religion out their has no confirmation whatsoever, all 39,000 of them are what if's. If you want to follow a what if religion, that is your choice. God won't stop you and He won't give up on trying to bring you to Him.
The appeasement of pagan religious beliefs is what started Catholicism. It is simply happening again, with governments forcing people to acknowledge and accept all forms of religion. Behind the scenes, sometimes apparent and sometimes subtle, those who are consumed by the love of money are being used by Lucifer to push this agenda forward.
Satan keeps pushing one of his most lethal lies - that Catholicism is Christianity. Those who know Jesus, will not only reject Islam, they will also reject Catholicism. On a different front from secular government - a more religious front - Catholic leadership is wooing as many religious sects as they can to unite under their false banner.
Those who follow Jesus, those who know Jesus, will not be accepted by the world - both the religious and non-religious world. The Truth stands for Eternity and will not be altered or changed by societies and their governing bodies.
There is only One Faith. All other belief outside the Truth, who is Jesus (the) Christ, is Unbelief. Unbelief is rejecting the Truth and believing the Lie.
The End of this Age is near. The final steps are being taken. Those who Watch, those who continue to love and follow the Son of God will be saved. Those who do not will be cast away by God into Eternal Damnation.
Homosexuality is a sin. The bible states so in Lev. 18:22 as well as 1 Cor. 6:9-10. Nobody has a right to push this sin off on anyone's child, especially in the school system. It is the parent's responsibility to teach their child on issues such as this, it does not belong in any classroom agenda. This teacher had no right to do what he did; it isn't about acceptance, equal rights, etc. this sin is called an abomination to a holy God and all who continue in it will face eternal wrath.
There is hope and mercy in Christ and his finished work on the cross. The bible commands sinners everywhere to repent or perish. Flee to Christ while there's time.
