So is today the day you learned the big bang theory was literally invented by a priest called Georges Lemaître who was angry at God?
You're welcome.

You make it sound like anger towards God is necessarily bad/blameworthy. Except Habakkuk was definitely angry at God over his decision to end Hebrew classism via Babylonian conquest. God doesn’t seem to have begrudged him that at all.
Don’t go into the territory of Job’s comforters/chastisers, hm?
You know, OP, science is not born out of people hating and attempting to discredit god. In fact, lots of scientists are/were religious people themselves. Can you not see that those scientists are using science to try and understand god and its creations?
I’m an an atheist and even I think science and religion can coexist, so why can’t you?

Oh, he does. As long as it's TRUE science, to wit, science that reinforces his beliefs, not challenges or (God forbid)ignores his beliefs.
If it requires effort on his part, it's Hates God science.
"big bang theory was literally invented... who was angry at God?"
If this were true, wouldn't it mean that the theory would only survive peer review if the reviewers all were angry at the same god?
And if so, if anyone who isn't god-angry enters the study of cosmology and comes to review the Big Bang, and the evidence that led to the formulation of the theory, they'd be able to refute it.
Not just reject it, like the OP, with derogatory motivations assigned, but actually point out the errors in either the observations made, or the conclusions reached. But an actual refutation....

I concur with you on all points… but as a spiritual person, myself.
Heck, the scientist who’s considered “The Father of Genetics” was a Friar who lived in a monastery.
Fundies are ridiculous.
As far as I am aware, Georges Lemaitre was a pious man who could nonetheless reconcile his scientific work with his faith. According to his Wikipedia article, he was old enough to be experiencing health problems while he was still a member of the clergy, which prevented him from accepting an invitation from the Pope to serve on the 4th session of the Pontifical Commission on Birth Control. There’s no indication that Lemaitre was “angry at God”, or why would he have remained a priest, let alone be asked to participate in the highest functions of the Catholic Church?

I think chunkheads like the OP can’t conceive of the idea that one can love Deity and believe scripture while embracing science, reason, evolution, etc.
There’s only a conflict between Science & Spirituality if it involves literalist, fundie religion.
Faith & Reason, to me, are just opposites that go together rather than opposing forces.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
