Fundamentalism in a Nutshell Award
I couldn't care less about the consensus of the "scientific community". They're wrong. I'm right.
When you get older and wiser as I have, you'll learn that authorities on certain matters aren't as bright as you once believed them to be.

A quote - on the Moon Landings - by someone who's older than you:
It is a magnificent testimony to the evolution of humankind
By someone who has a Ph.D from MIT. His contribution to the scientific community is more than priceless. He will no doubt applaud the great strides taken by those at NASA/JPL with their new Mars rover Perseverance. Question: would you say this space scientist is brighter than you? Well, he's a Conservative Christian. Say hello to Dr. Buzz Aldrin:

He's certainly - by your 'definition' - righter than you.
The reason why age was traditionally thought to make persons wiser was because they lived more experiences than younger persons. For exemple, an older lawyer is still thought as better because he defended more cases than someone just ftraight out from law school. What were your experiencies justifying you thinking knowing more than specialists in their domain?

Hmm, but if you’re right, then you’re the authority and we learn that you’re not as bright as we were led to believe.
So, maybe they’re right, but then, we learn that they aren't as bright as we once believed them to be.
So perhaps you’re right, then you’re the authority and we learn that you’re not as bright as we were led to believe.
That would make them right, but then, we learn that they aren't as bright as we once believed them to be.
Circular circle ad infinitum
Btw, which “certain matters” are meant here?
If you say so, mate. *backs away quickly*
You may be getting older, as are we all, but sound more senile than wise - and about as bright as a blown globe.

I notice you're posting this on the internet, rather than telepathic communication. Ever sit and think about just HOW MUCH science expertise allowed that?
Science works. That's how you get a computer. Thst's how you get power to your computer. That's how your computer communicates with other computers so we receive words, not gibberish.
It's how your post makes it around the whole damn world in a blink.
All this expertise out there demonstrating their effectiveness. And here's you chanting, 'i am the smartest.'
Well, prove it. G'head. We'll wait.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
