Most of God’s punishments were not like that, but quick and brutal with instant results. And direct. No one passed a case of ‘she-bears’ on to relatives and coworkers.

Hatred campaign by someone so alienated to the possibility that sexual attraction may not obey to particular human doctrines that it must also be the cause of everything bad in the world, even all diseases. Even confused about the various sexual orientations. Superstitious beliefs instead of a scientific understanding of disease and medicine. May as well suddenly begin to sacrifice people to unexisting entities, not solving anything and causing actual harm. Since sexual diversity is part of the human nature, it could be someone in their own family.

They base their entire messaging campaign for decades around the idea that everybody they disapprove of - from their political opponents, to immigrants, to everybody that does not conform to their religious sensibilities and everybody under the LGBTQ umbrella even if they're children - is some kind of sexual predator in plain sight that needs to be dealt with aggressively with nothing to back it up but a condescending tone in their voices and yet this makes how many caught in the act very publicly with a criminal charge and verifiable record of exactly what went down? To virtually no consequences but momentary damage to personal image they will make themselves out be the victim for?
