(Comment referring to feminism)
It was always about dividing the family and the relationship that a man and woman had along centuries.

“and the relationship that a man and woman had along centuries.”
This ‘relationship’ would include the idea that if men cheat, it’s the woman’s fault for not giving him enough sex at home? That cherished ideal? Can’t imagine why women would reject that.
Or the fact that women couldn’t have bank accounts without a male also on the account, father or husband? But a man could have an account his wife didn’t even know about? Again, can’t imagine why that relatsionship might have come under fire.
Ultimately, if the only reason the family is together is because the woman doesn’t have any options, it’s not worth preserving.
the relationship that a man and woman had along centuries.
You mean where women were properties of men at best and everything bad in “the family” is automatically her fault?
Like what @KeithInc. said, if a “family” can only exist because the woman is chained to it, then it’s not worth existing. I don’t know about you, but I’m empathic enough to want a female partner who is my equal and who is happy with me and chooses to stay.
It used to be that women needed men just to survive, since a woman's options for earning a living on her own were severely restricted. That meant that divorce, if legal, was still virtually unthinkable.
Keeping one partner shackled to the other is hardly what I would call a relationship.
The ideas of family, relationships and marriage have changed a lot over the years and have always been different in different places and in different social classes. There is no universal standard that goes back over the ages. People just think it’s that way because they project whatever they think is normal over time.
Confused?
