@Trouble_Man I believe there is another organism that behaves in a similar fashion.
You can usually flush them out with a good dose of activated charcoal. The biblical stories mentioned Wormwood..... perhaps they were pointing out something that is needed occasionally when the population forgets to adhere to proper and strict rules.....
