… almost all of the Internet’s anti-vax mess is coming from these twelve influencers. De-platform these chunkheads and a lot of anti-vax crap will be hindered big time!
After all those guys are de-platformed, provide a counter-voice that uses all the same hooks, emotion and such to teach pro-vax.
It’s time to really crack down and not give a damn how it looks to these dorks.
Same goes for all that Bigot crap. WE NEED TO COUNTER THESE THINGS AND CREATE COUNTER GROUPS, NICE ALTERNATIVES. Many are sucked into these groups, ideas, theories, etc. because they have a malaise, lack of meaning, need to be part of an in-group, feel lost, etc. That’s what Neo-Nazis, Klannies, Anti-Vaxxers, Fundies, Terrorists, Gangs, etc. count on. This is also why when times are economically tough, weirdos like Hitler, Trump, Bolsonaro, etc. become popular and gain power… NO PROGRESSIVE OR NON-BIGOTED MINDS ARE OUT THERE EXPLAINING WHY THINGS ARE THE WAY THEY ARE AND NONE ARE PROVIDING ANY ALTERNATIVES WHO ARE OUT RUNNING.
Again and again, I must stress that having a couple of websites like SPLC or ADL is not enough! There needs to be clubs, web forums, fraternal organizations, etc. for people to join. People who will get potential followers before the Machospherians, Alt-Reich, Fundies, etc. do.
And people like stuff that is eye-catching and explained in the simplest, most engaging and concise way possible. Bright colors, moving music, talking heads, perhaps even humor. Pretend the entire planet has ADHD.
LeftTube has been sluggish, lately, those guys need to crank out videos on a regular basis. The algorithms tend to favor the wingnuts because the wingnuts crank them out a lot! Perhaps Contrapoints, Hbomberguy, PhilosophyTube, etc. need to change their formats to regular “Talking Head” style with the elaborate skit stuff popping up every so often if the problem is time, effort and money.
