Why is this always y’all’s excuse like you don’t have the ability to pick up trades. At no point in your life have you been denied a physically laborious and necessary to our survival job. You just don’t want to do it because you figured men would. You sure LAZY

referendums on womens sufferage, all 3 failed. the first in 1895 out of 560,000 women only 24000 voted in the affirmative.

men litterally had to force through womens right to vote against their will.

but yes men build, maintain and protect the world we all enjoy EVEN IF women wanted to participate in that endeavour they still were not allowed to and therefore... can not get credit for a task they never did.

but even today women still in no meaningful quantity participate in the building, maintaining or protection of society.

Within my lifetime, computer operators were mostly women, as all that typing made it look like a woman’s job in the secretarial pool. As computers became more interesting, man movied into the field. And pushed women out. And froze them out. And THEN, since they didn’t see women in such jobs, spread rumors that women weren’t capable of such jobs.

That’s not true. The false belief that many men have that women are incapable of such labor means many won’t hire women for that job, because they figure they’ll have to hire another man to do her work, since she can’t. So men think they’re doing right by the company to gatekeep women.
I saw the exact same thing whenever another rate or billet was opened to women in the Navy, all the old timers grousing about how their productivity was going to shit for ‘equal opportunity’ that was going to add bodies but cost manpower.

This is the exact attitude that kept women out of ‘manly’ jobs.
