So aside from not being able to use associations with his former best friend as a means of revenge against every man, woman, child, and abstract concept that has ever crossed him like the law and human rights he’s been so far keeping his singular promise of sweeping revenge regardless of legality or cost and that’s all you really care about? Not crime like sex trafficking of minors or the drug trade Trump has actually helped strengthen with several pardons of prolific traffickers and even giving favourable treatment to high profile members of the exact foreign gangs he name checks with scare quotes as an excuse to shake down America like MS-13 and Tren de Aragua? Not protecting American interests like the economy that’s going down the toilet because he confuses tariffs for a classic mafia extortion racket that would have failed just as miserably even if that was how things worked rather than the American consumer paying the markup? Or your ability to pursue your interests across the globe with diplomatic leverage that no longer exists because the man is physically incapable of keeping his word or refraining from outright betrayal for no good reason? Or even maintaining military force in the now absolute absence of any country that would willingly have your back if conflict broke out - and god he’s pushing for that to happen - which is being embezzled away into militarizing immigration issues which under realistic circumstances shouldn’t be more threatening than meter maids that ticket humans instead of parked vehicles but the most heavily funded and excessively weaponized “law enforcement” arm in your country’s history and every other branch of armed enforcement civil and military is being squandered in your cities for that campaign of revenge against those who hurt the technicolour toddler’s feelings? A military whose main priority is now culture wars, Hegseth negging generals because he doesn’t think they’re attractive enough which is how he gauges competence, and purging anyone who is there to be a soldier rather than a white male clean shaven member of the Proud Boys if the Proud Boys were a boy band that exists to look pretty for Hegseth and strangle puppies in front of their owners on command if he tells them he needs something to help him get hard? Not the continued existence of America as a world power or even a functional country because that shutdown for him is just another paid vacation and he expects police and firefighters to just carry on unpaid until they starve because if they do fall apart that’s just ammo for him to say “the left” has failed (like he isn’t the sole power in America now for some inexplicable fucking reason) and he can send even more troops to rough up even more Americans?
