To highly oversimplify things (and, truth be told, “blacks built America” certainly is indeed highly oversimplified):
The United States were a collection of wealthy European colonies - a significant source of this wealth being black slave labour - that was reccognised by the powers of Europe, and by aggressive expansion (fueled in part by cheap labour provided by desperate marginalised blacks even after the abolition of slavery) into lands whose natives had been relatively low in population even before introduced plagues softened them up to conquest grew into one of the largest empires in history encompassing most of North America.
Africa is an entire continent that was filled with various polities and nations that, in the 19th Century, was conquered by various European powers that brutally exploited the lands and the peoples until well into the 20th Century, destroyed institutions while proving their claims of setting out to “civilise the savages” complete lies, and playing to hostilities between the ethnic groups in classic Divide and Conquer. Even when they were finally forced to release their African conquests into independence, the colonial powers did everything to horribly sabotage the process setting up most horrible consequences so that they could pretend that they were right all along. And all the while, transnational business - headquartered, of course, in Europe or those colonies where the Europeans had managed to overwhelm the natives, and run predominantly by white men - took up the colonial governments’ mantle in continued exploitation.
