Ever since Hogwarts Legacy had been met with disproportionately negative criticism from a variety of woke videogame journalists who previously slandered Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling for posting "transphobic" tweets, when in reality she criticised the very illogical aspects of transgender women being allowed to enter men's public toilets to sexually harass biological women, in addition to journalists even ignoring the very fact that she supported Women's Rights, treats her fans with great amount of respect regardless of their personal backgrounds and donated to charities frequently as she lost her status as a billionaire.

And her laughing at gay man who was killed (recent), description of bankers being suspicously close to Jews described by Nazis and anti semitic groups, etc.

The game looks like high-budget neo-nazi propaganda. I don't care if Rowling is involved in the writing or design of the game in any meaningful way, she's probably not because no doubt people have noticed that she can't write for shit, but the fact that she supports it at all should tell her dumbass fans that she's a-ok with barely disguised antisemitism on top of her transphobia.

She’s just completely wrong about the issue. That is why she is being criticized. Her other actions are irrelevant.

Hogwarts Legacy hasn’t yet been released, so it might be a bit early to attack critics. And there’s a reason why people tends to frown on John Lasseter or Gamergate, both supported by the former lead developper. Finally, why have I the impression he would attack JKR as a “damn liberal” 10 years before?

OTOH, I think it was injust to attack the protrayal of the goblins by Rowling, since it was already present in folklore.

Rowling made the goblins not just greedy but bankers. Even without that additional step the similarity between the greedy goblins of folklore and the antisemitic stereotype is something a writer should be aware of and present goblins in a way that avoids this connection. As a writer it is her responsibility to think through how the message she is sending is read by a modern audience. If you do something like this accidentally the proper response is to acknowledge it, apologize and make sure the mistake is avoided in future stories and adaptations.
