I am so worried about my 5-year-old granddaughter who just started Kindergarten. She wants to be a veterinarian...but she needs to complete the 12-years of secondary schooling first. Then onto a university. I hope and pray her schooling, studies, and training will go well and that she will not be harmed in any way. All of us sent our children to school thinking it was safe - I lived in Colorado when the tragic Columbine High School shootings happened. My daughter was in 3rd grade then, and there are still school shootings happening today over 25 years later! This trans ideology is far more frightening to me now because the bad guys could be teachers, counselors, coaches, and principles who think that the trans-cult lies are the truth.

Pretty sure Columbine was NOT commited by transpeople, ya lying bitch. And neither were (at least) 95% of all school shootings in the next 25 years.

If you want to keep children on schools safe, go after the REAL problems, the second amendment for one. But by spreading fear and lies you’re only making things WORSE.

I was a senior in high school when Columbine happened. It was outcasts and goths looked at as a problem back then. In all that time it's been what 4 or 5 shooters that were transgender? Most were cisgender and some were incel. Maybe look at incel movement. Some bullied maybe look at bullies as reason for shootings. No? Well then I guess safety isn't your priority is it? Yes? Well then maybe stop bitching about trans shooters

I was in my first year out of high school (I took a sort of gap year to work and save up some money). I lived about 35 miles away at the time and the targeting of goths was absolutely nuts. My friends and I were goths ourselves and we got kicked out of places that we regularly hung out at. I guess they thought we were going to kill them all or something. It was so disturbing because first there was this horrific shooting and then innocent people got held responsible for it. And I hated the whole ‘oh, they were bullied, that’s why they did it!’ It didn’t lead to trying to understand and help bullied kids, it just became ‘bullied kids are dangerous!!’ As a kid who was bullied it was like a double whammy.

I hate our culture of blaming entire groups of people when they didn’t have anything to do with whatever happened.

Oh, I agree. I’m not blaming the bullied kids - like I said, I was one myself. What I was trying to say is that I’m tired of the news media and society at large blaming bullied kids for mass shootings and deciding that we’re all dangerous and going to snap. Usually bullied kids are left to deal with the bullying themselves because adults are frequently either unwilling to stop it or sometimes even encourage it if it’s against a kid they don’t like. This is just more shit that puts yet another wall between the bullied kid and the support they need in order to heal.

A lot of Americans love guns much more than children. Even their own children.
