(Comment on spell “Summon Jeff the Killer”)
i just did this spell last night and it worked. but you people, I am really ashamed the way you talk about magic. how do you know anything wont work unless you try it first. Don't you know everything inside the magical realm everything is possible. And things inside the real world are way different the magical realm where you can make the most impossible of things real. yes i tried the spell it worked for me and i met Jeffery the killer.... it worked you epople need to start believing for things to work, and all magic comes the devil and he can make anythng happen he can make anything real he is very powerful being

Why is it others who speak of magick whether real or metamphorical, speak as though one should aware of yhe power where OP comes across as the Christian "I'm a former ___ and we sacrificed puppies and kittens and children." I wonder who OP us trying to convince. Atheists will know it's bullshit, Pagans will know it's not of beliefs, the educated will point out everything wrong and the uneducated might believe it

When they got steam power to work, soon everything was steam powered.
When they got electricity to work, pretty soon everything was electric.
When they got computers to work, pretty soon FUCKING EVERYTHING has a computer inside it right now.
HAVE to figure if magic worked, corporations would be hiring wizards.
And there would be memes all over the place about business majors asking wizards if they can summon cheaper demons for the bigger effects.
So, no, I don’t think magic is likely to work the first time a teenager picks up a magic book that’s been mass produced.
That might be a TV series/movie: Someone from our world is accidentally transferred to a parallel world where magic does exist. In the form of a power a minority of people have because of something biological they were born with.
A power that gives them the same relationship to the laws of nature as hacked-in Zion rebels had to the VR rules functioning as laws of nature in the Matrix - they can bend some laws, break others.
try it first
I did. At times I was self-deluded that it worked, too.

That's pretty much the fantasy of magic thinking, yes.
And things inside the real world are way different the magical realm where you can make the most impossible of things real
Meaning that it only works in the imaginary world? How is that evidence that magic works? I would call it the gift of creative imagination instead. The main dangers of magic are self-deception leading to depression (for evading reality instead of addressing problems properly), then the superstitions and misattributions, that can lead to harm (to ourselves or others). Imagination itself can be put to good use.

Which reminds me of those TV entertainment shows presented as documentaries where the police hires "psychics", those entertaining the disproven "remote viewing", then the UFO conspiracy theories ones... Unfortunately some people really buy into it and there's nothing to stop the flow of bullshit shows, apparently.

A really, really bad Creepypasta character.
The only people who still care about Jeff the Killer are edgy young teens.

Yes, there's this interesting phenomenon where when we fix at a scene long enough without moving the eyes much, visual information is gradually lost due to a lack of refresh but the mind can still refresh the picture while filling the blanks with noise and/or interpretation, this optical illusion works especially well in low light conditions. If we're looking at a face, it may appear to change too... No magic involved, of course. :) Added to the distortion are afterimages resulting from looking at a stable image a while, when the eyes move just a bit, it can give the impression of additional relief and borders (some "gaze at the aura" when actually looking at this effect). Also, afterimages tend to be negative/reversed, so this can trigger interesting sudden effects with the pupils also suddenly changing size to adjust, etc.
Confused?
