At least actual vegetarians, I could really get, vegans are just insane cultists with dogmas and orthodoxies galore. Please, do go on and tell me, how we’re exploiting the bees, by providing them with safety, medicine and plenty resources to use unbothered, while taking out useless by-product, from their perspective. I’m sure if a hive of them could speak, they’d be happy to choose some tree in the forest and living in constant danger of a bear or a badger assaulting and destroying their hive for the stuff the humans take out harmlessly. When I meet a vegan, who will concede to me the point about living in symbiosis with some species, as opposed to exploiting them, then we can talk. I’m not even adverse to letting go of some of my meat, but it has to be backed by actual research on their sentience, hell, as much, as I love me some bacon, I could give up pork completely, if we were to all decide as a society, that we will no longer engage in eating anything that can be considered remotely approaching us in sentience but I want to see actual replacement meats instead, like insect butcheries and more fish/frutti di mare meats. I’m also NOT EVER going to drop eating non-meat animal products like dairy and honey and eggs and I really do not care to be morally chastised for it by a bunch of brainwashed cultist
My point? I can give up a lot of my meat, due to moral imperative, when it’s properly backed by science(like with pigs, for example) but so do I demand that YOU fuckers do the same and agree that rationally things like honey and eggs are just fine and dandy and if you don’t wanna consume them, it’s only your personal issue, not a moral one. Take a penny, leave a penny, mofos but the moment you start shrieking at me for having fried ant/locust wrap, you lose.
