The practice of promoting desirable traits at the cost of undesirable traits, to improve the species, goes ‘bad’ as soon as someone decides which traits are not desirable. Saying ‘You don’t get to have kids because _I_ dislike your (skin color, sex, sexuality, left-handedness, nationality)’ is the point it goes sour.

Evolution has imposed exactly shit on humans. Some individuals want multiple partners, some want committed relationships. You deciding that what YOU want applies to other people is where it turns sour.

Sure you can. Our evolution rewards fighting. Fighting feels good. Defending territory, property, space all earns an emotional reward. As intellectual beings, however, we can choose to value cooperation over dominance. Sharing over territoriality. Diplomacy over hitting someone over the head with a rock. Such decisions are just as legitimate as they come.
You, obviously, just wish to validate your basic urges so that you don’t have to think or curb your own behavior.
