You miss the entire GOD DAMNED point. You also knew what a car was at 16. But you cuold not sign a contract with a dealer to purchase one. or with a bank for the loan to purchase one.
If you did, the contract was not enforceable exactly because you were a minor, and could not be legally held to have consented to the loan.
Same thing, here. Minors can say ‘I will!’ all day long, but you cannot offer consent.
