I’ll bet you were the cutest, sparkliest little mouse ever *squee*!
I remember playing Peter Rabbit’s mom in a school play, but that’s a different story.
I miss Buffalo and Western New York in general (I don’t really miss my hometown of Niagara Falls though I hope it overcomes it’s economic downturn someday and still have some nostalgic memories). Awesome food: Awesome pizza! WINGS! *Beef on Weck! Fried Haddock Fish Fry! **Sponge Candy! ***Loganberry drink!
[* Hot roast beef with au-jus on a kummelweck bun! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beef_on_weck
** Sponge toffee covered in chocolate. Like bite-sized Crunchie bars. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honeycomb_toffee
*** A soft drink make from Loganberries (like blackberries or raspberries) invented in Ontario’s legendary (but sadly now defunct) Crystal Beach Amusement Park.]
Buffalo’s a bit of a cultural melting pot, too….Italians, Poles, Greeks, Germans, Irish, Puerto Ricans, other Latinos, Blacks, etc. Great town having a renaissance with lots of “culture” (not just loud people and football….heck, but we LOVE our BILLS!).
The beauty of diversity is color, variety and all sorts of art, music and food!
Bigots who hate diversity hate fun and hate life! They want humanity as The Borg and the rainbow as monochrome.
The Country is still beautiful, though and great if you love nature, camping, outdoor sports and adventure and relaxation.
Both City & Country have they’re Pros & Cons. The rivalry between City & Country Mice needs to end.
