Which explains why there was no Blue Wave in Congress. Trump only lost because he actually united Left & Right in the retching. Many Never-Trumpers still were still cool with McConnell, Graham and Collins.
That’s the next thing to tackle, Gerrymandering. I also think we would’ve had better progress if it wasn’t for the pandemic due to it putting a damper on door to door voter outreach.
I also think there’s are ways to overcome voter suppression tactics. Many tactics are done in a way so the GOP can claim plausible deniability because if they outright said “It’s cuz they’re not white” they would be in deep dookie, so they’ll point to something else like “Inconsistent ways of writing one’s name”. Thus, there needs to be a guide to “how to overcome voter suppression measures” and funds set up to pay for voter I.Ds, buses to transport those with no cars, telling people to be consistent in how they write and spell their names.
Finally; We need to understand the psychology of Conservative & wingnut people. Believe it or not, they’re not all wingnuts, many are otherwise nice decent people who have brains that are adverse to change & newness and focused on tradition & stability. They also had a herd mentality and see their politics as a matter of personal identity. You can’t sway them with “facts” but you can reach them by getting to the “root” of why they believe as they do.

The Conservatives also tend to be very religious and their churches very politicized and they worship the concept of Authority. Perhaps non-wingnuts can become ministers and make their churches subtly emphasize stuff like Social Justice, The Environment and Equality (without using those terms since ‘Social Justice’ is a ‘scary term’).
Language is powerful, The Right might barf over “Environmentalism” but may be more chill with “Conservation”. If a Clean Earth can be cloaked in good old-fashioned images of “Conservation”, “Smokey the Bear”, “Old Disney PSA about how littering is bad”, etc. instead of the usual “New Age Granola Person Gaia-Worshipper”, we might get somewhere.
You can’t force someone to not be Conservative but you can make them not be crazy.
Believe it or not, many Trump sycophants actually hated Trump and some of the stuff he wanted and did but they were terrified of and beholden to him. Biden’s a bit of a Centrist and perhaps he can try to convince the less-crazy ones to “do the right thing”.
The best way to make a person to do the right thing is to show them what awesomeness is in it for them if they do the right thing.
